Naveed Hussain

Naveed Hussain is a distinguished leader in the aerospace industry, currently serving as Boeing's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Vice President & General Manager of Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T).

In his capacity as CTO, he drives Boeing's technological advancements through strategic planning and execution, overseeing the company's technology investment strategy.

Leading Boeing's advanced central research and development unit, BR&T, Hussain spearheads the creation of cutting-edge technologies that enhance aerospace solutions, elevate product quality, and boost overall competitiveness.

Having assumed his role in 2018, he manages a diverse team of experts who collaborate globally to address complex challenges in the aerospace sector.

Under his leadership, Boeing's subsidiary Aurora Flight Sciences excels in developing autonomous systems for advanced aircraft.

Hussain's responsibilities extend to managing operations at numerous research centers across the U.S. and internationally, in countries like Australia, Brazil, China, and South Korea.

Prior to his current position, he held key roles within Boeing, including Vice President of Aeromechanics Technology and launching the BR&T-India research center in Bangalore.

Throughout his career, he has accumulated significant expertise, holding seven patents and beginning his journey with Boeing as a Howard Hughes Doctoral Fellow in 1990.

Naveed Hussain's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
