David Fortier is an accomplished leader in commercial, reimbursement, policy, and pricing with special expertise in rare disease. With over 20 years of experience, he has held increasingly responsible roles such as Canadian Business Unit Leader and Global Senior Director, leading access & HEOR strategy for Rare Disease launch at Pfizer.

David studied at St. Michael's College School and obtained an MBA from Queen's University. He started his career as an engineer in training at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation before transitioning to management consulting at Monitor Group. Later, he joined Pfizer Canada as an Associate Director of Patient Access, and gradually held more senior and strategic roles such as Director of Strategy & Health Policy, Director of Market Access and Government Affairs, Rare Disease Business Unit Director, and Senior Director of Market Access & Health Economics, Rare Disease.

David is a results-driven leader with a passion for innovative and patient-centric solutions. In his current role as Integrated Team Lead, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Gene Therapy at Pfizer, he spearheads the development of transformative treatments for rare diseases.
