Georg Petschnigg, an accomplished executive, entrepreneur, and product leader, has made a name for himself in the world of design, technology, and business. He firmly believes that technology should serve people's needs to create. Petschnigg currently serves as Head of Product Design at The New York Times, having previously worked as WeTransfer's Chief Innovation Officer and General Manager in the Americas, where he built a subscription platform for delivering creative work. FiftyThree is another company co-founded by Petschnigg in 2011, where he served as CEO until WeTransfer acquired it in 2018. He has displayed an exceptional record of creating products that have transformed how people work, create, and view the world, earning several awards in design excellence and innovation for his efforts, with products reaching over 30 million creative thinkers globally. Petschnigg's background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Economics and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a product design focus, both from Columbia and Stanford universities, respectively. Petschnigg has also collaborated with various organizations, including Microsoft, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and Hewlett Packard.
