Perkins Coie LLP is delighted to have Andy Pettit as an associate with their Intellectual Property Practice. Andy is an accomplished patent attorney experienced in utility and design patent procurement, domestic and international patent prosecution, and strategic patent portfolio analysis. He has worked in diverse fields, including wearable devices, biotechnology and medical instrumentation, consumer electronics, and network traffic visibility and security technologies.

Andy Pettit has a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate degree from Duke University. He is a former co-founder, co-owner of SmartStance, where he honed his entrepreneurial and managerial skills. Andy is also passionate about teaching, having served as a teaching assistant for Criminal Law courses at Seattle University School of Law, and the Program in Education at Duke University.

Andy Pettit is a research and development engineering intern at Unico, Inc. As a licensed legal intern at the University of Washington's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, he provided pro bono legal services to local startup companies. He is also a former summer associate at Perkins Coie in 2016.
