Emily Doerr

Emily Doerr, a compassionate and tenacious public sector executive, has an impressive career behind her. She has worked for numerous organizations such as the Michigan State Land Bank Authority, Metro Community Development, the City of Flint, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and the Detroit Regional Chamber. Her education includes studying for a master's degree in business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a certificate in construction management from Louisiana State University.

Throughout her career, Doerr has been dedicated to improving Michigan's communities, especially those of low to moderate-income households. She believes in bold, direct action and collaboration with others to achieve positive, impactful change.

Doerr's experience has ranged from working as a Grants and Contracts Manager to a VP of Housing Development, allowing her to gain expertise in various fields such as community development, urban initiatives, and construction management. In addition, she founded businesses, served as board president, interned at the Executive Office of the Governor, served as a project manager, and more.
