Elizabeth Cameron is a highly experienced and skilled global team builder with over 15 years of experience in the highest levels of government. Her impressive career includes a 3.5-year stint at the White House on the National Security Council Staff, where she launched and implemented the US initiative to advance the Global Health Security Agenda, an ambitious global initiative across 50+ countries and 12+ federal agencies.

Elizabeth's pioneering work in global health security and biodefense has earned her a reputation as a tireless advocate for change. She has overseen multi-million-dollar budgets in the Departments of State and Defense, acted as office director and chief of staff, and held several senior leadership positions with the NSC staff, State Department, and Department of Defense.

Elizabeth's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Biology, Human Genetics, and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.

As Vice President, Global Biological Policy, and Programs at Nuclear Threat Initiative, Elizabeth works to advance global health security and the counter biological threat. Before joining NTI, Elizabeth was a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical & Biological Defense Programs. She was also the Director of Policy Research for the National Government Relations Department at the American Cancer Society and worked as a Science Policy Fellow on the Health Policy Office of Senator Edward M. Kennedy.
