She attended Clarksburg High School and Magruder High School for her early education.

Amy pursued Administrator I Certification at Towson University and furthered her studies with a Master of Arts in Technology Education from Ball State University.

Her academic journey also includes multiple undertakings at Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

With a rich educational background, Amy Gensemer has held significant roles in renowned organizations like Discovery Communications and Montgomery County Public Schools.

She served as the Director of Science Curriculum at Discovery Communications and has prior experience as the Supervisor of Science, Technology, and Engineering, as well as a Content Specialist in the same field at Montgomery County Public Schools.

Additionally, Amy has contributed as a Technology Education Teacher in the esteemed Montgomery County Public Schools.
