Makarand Joshi is a global leader in IoT with a deep expertise in smart buildings, data centers, factories, electrical distribution, and more. As the Global Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Standards at Schneider Electric, Mak leads a team that contributes to Schneider's preparedness on topics such as big data, digital twin, AI/ML, blockchain, connectivity, data privacy, security, edge analytics, and mixed reality. With more than 25 years of experience, Mak has contributed to a variety of engineering, product management, business development, entrepreneurial, and leadership roles. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and represents Schneider on various influence boards such as the World Economic Forum working group on 5G and the European Commission task force on Data Portability. Mak holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and has studied blockchain, IoT, and big data at MIT.
