James O'Donnell is a versatile writer, photographer, and environmental activist, with over two decades of experience in the field. He has a Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico, where he received extensive training in collaboration, coalition building, lobbying, watershed assessment, management, and conservation planning. Before that, he also earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology.

Throughout his career, James has worked for various environmental organizations and initiatives, including Interface Permaculture, the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, the Coalition for Valle Vidal, and the Environmental Finance Center. In these roles, he has gained valuable experience in outreach coordination, project assistance, and advocacy for nature conservation and restoration.

He has written several literary non-fiction and speculative fiction works, including NOTES FOR THE AURORA SOCIETY.
