Courtney Lawler is a passionate creative professional with years of experience in event management, marketing, communications, customer service, and box office management. She is a graduate of The University of Queensland where she studied Political Science, Journalism & Mass Communications. She also studied exchange studies in Political Science and French at The University of Edinburgh, gaining a broad range of skills and knowledge in different cultures. Her connection to the arts runs deep, and she is keen to develop her skills further in the arts sector.
Courtney's career started when she was a Cinema Worker at Palace Cinemas, and later, she worked as a Procurement and Purchasing Officer (APS 4) at the Department of Communications and the Arts. After this, she became a Records Officer (APS4) at the Department of Industry, Innovation, and Science. Courtney continued her career as a Cinematheque Attendant at the GALLERY OF MODERN ART, before becoming a Features Writer at Change Makers Magazine.
As her passion for the arts grew stronger, Courtney became a Social Media Coordinator and Profile Writer at Feminartsy while working as a Communications and Events Coordinator at YWCA Canberra. Later, she became a Box Office Supervisor at Underbelly Limited, then moved to become Communications & Events Manager at The Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh.
In recent years, Courtney served as Box Office Supervisor for both The Garden Of Unearthly Delights and Edinburgh's Christmas. Her diverse career background has given her the tools and abilities to communicate with diverse audiences and lead successful events.
