Able provide advanced  support to departmental Managers, and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations, including recording and reporting data, purchasing, training and hiring.As a Operations Specialist for a Waste Management Material Recovery Facility I assist in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.  Maintains and distributes department related information on a daily basis, communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues, and creates and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the department manager.Responsible for managing a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor, data collection and reporting.  Assisting with the processing of payments and other financial tasks, assisting in the implementation of operational projects, communicating with customers about service issues, and communicating with employees about scheduling and work assignments.As an Educational Coordinator I am responsible for teaching residents, students (K-12 & College), commerical organizations and employees about the overall benefits and processes of recycling and sustainbility. We discuss the who, what, when, where, why and how of recycling as well as "It Starts At The Store". I give Informative Presentations, open discussions, hands-on activities and tour a MRF allowing people to see first hand where your garbage/recycling goes.  ·         Learn why recycling is so important for us and the environment·         Learn about the 4 R’s  - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Recover·         Learn what types of materials and products can and cannot be recycled, as well as the proper way to prepare those materials for the recycling bin. ·         Learn about waste prevent and minimization, as well as being a good consumer.
