Lana Huberty, Ph.D., is an accomplished professor and kinesiologist with over 25 years of experience in both private and public sport organizations. She currently chairs the Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department at Concordia University-St. Paul, where her combination of academic excellence and professional acumen inspires students and provides them with practical insights into the real-world applications of their coursework. With a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota, an MS in Sport and Recreation Management from Saint Cloud State University, and a BA in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services with an emphasis in Planning and Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato, Lana brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She has also held various positions in the field, including Membership & Marketing Director and Fitness Director at YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, and Sport Management Program Coordinator at Concordia University-St. Paul.

Her focus is on teaching critical analysis and research skills to students, while helping them gain practical experience working on applied projects and field research. Lana is committed to making a significant impact on the world of education, and her passion for her work is evident in the outstanding contributions she has made throughout her career.
