After earning an MA from the University of Oxford and studying at INSEAD and Inns of Court School of Law in England & Wales, Connal began her career specializing in intellectual property and competition litigation for major brands and IP rights holders.

Connal later joined Orange, serving in roles such as Senior Vice President of Orange International Business Developments and Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, where she reinvigorated Orange's relationship with major tech players like Google, Facebook, Samsung, Microsoft, Intel, and Amazon. Connal has also held leadership positions at other major tech companies including Google and Facebook, where she worked as Director of Product Partnerships for News, Web, Chrome, and Publishing EMEA, and Director of Mobile and Connectivity Partnerships, respectively.
