Amanda Sass is an experienced educator and writer who has a passion for empowering individuals with disabilities. She has 16 years of experience working in the field of special education in both moderate/severe and mild/moderate classrooms. Her expertise lies in Adult Transition, and she has extensive knowledge of transition services and post-secondary options available to adults who qualify for special education services. She has a desire to develop education and work opportunities for individuals who have varying disabilities, both in the United States and abroad.

Ms. Sass holds a Master of Arts degree in Special Education and Teaching, as well as a Bachelor's of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, both from Azusa Pacific University. She also holds Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Teaching Credentials in Special Education from the same university. Ms. Sass actively works as an Adult Transition Program Teacher at WISEBURN SCHOOL DISTRICT and previously served in a similar role at Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. She is an active member of the special education community, and also worked as a Case Manager at Carlsbad Unified School District and Adaptive Physical Education Assistant at Murrieta Valley Unified School District. Earlier in her studies, she was a Cafe Manager and Intern at Schloss Heroldeck Conference Center.

Outside of work, Ms. Sass is an advocate for non-profit organizations that address social injustice issues against individuals with disabilities. She has worked with several organizations and seeks to raise awareness and become more actively involved in helping the powerless.
