April Young is an accomplished Managing Director at Hercules Capital, with extensive experience in the venture banking industry. She is responsible for expanding the company's venture loan portfolio in the MidAtlantic and Southeast United States. April's impressive career trajectory includes senior leadership positions at various reputable establishments. During her tenure at Comerica Bank, she served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Mid-Atlantic Technology and Life Sciences Division for over 10 years. Prior to that, she was the Director of the Virginia Department of Economic Development and Senior Vice President of NVR. April also played a pivotal role as the Executive Director of the Potomac KnowledgeWay Project and Senior Fellow for Regional Economic Development at George Mason University's Institute for Public Policy.
