Richard Bailey is a seasoned technology manager, leader, and developer with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has a proven track record of leading teams from 3 to 70 developers with expertise in change management, team building, and performance coaching. With over 20 patents awarded, he has shipped over 20 products in C++, C#, Unity 3D, and Java, including embedded systems, IoT, and cloud products.

Richard has a particular interest in AI/ML technologies and is studying a range of them with a focus on developing scalable products that can innovate in these areas. He is a technical expert in areas such as design patterns, 3D math, and algorithms.

Throughout his career, Richard has held various leadership positions. At Niantic, Inc., he works on AR experiences for mobile, while at Magic Leap, he served as the Senior Director of Software, where he led the C3 Collaboration Platform and Applications. Before that, he was the Founder, CEO, and Developer at Margrave Technologies, where he worked on augmented reality authoring and developer tools.

Richard holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Washington. He has a passion for machine learning, especially in scaling and edge computing, making ML ubiquitous.
