Christian Sulger-Buel, a Swiss-German native with an impressive background in private wealth management, is a founding member of the British Bankers Association’s International Private Banking Panel in London and the International Private Banking Council. Christian has a degree in Law from the University of Nancy (France) and an MA in Political Sciences from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. He has operated his own consultancy since 1999, helping families set up and recruit for their family offices. He spent six years in Belgium, France, and Spain for the Continental Bank of Chicago. Christian's experience in private wealth management includes four years leading the team responsible for the ultra highest net worth clients at Paribas’s Head Office in Paris and six years managing the team servicing Middle Eastern private clientele while running the Paribas Private Banking Office in London. He has been awarded the Order of Merit by the French Government and has served as Vice Consul of Austria when in Monte-Carlo. Recently, Christian partnered with gallerist Tamzin Lovell Miller, to launch Sulger-Buel Lovell in London and Cape Town, specialising in contemporary African art.
