Craig Douglas is a seasoned investor in the climate space, renowned for his pioneering work in ESG and impact investing. With over a decade of venture capital experience, he has led investments in new energy business models, energy distribution and storage, transportation and the built environment. He is currently a Partner at a leading Climate VC firm, where he is in charge of fundraising, portfolio management, deal sourcing, executing investments, and ESG & impact.

Before joining his current firm, Craig worked as a Principal at SET Ventures, which is one of the longest-running climate funds in Europe. He is also the Founding Partner at World Fund, where he is responsible for providing strategic insights in ESG and impact investing. Craig has been instrumental in the creation of an industry-leading ESG framework in 2012, which is now implemented in several funds. He has also co-designed how to link impact to fund performance and compensation in 2018, which is now used by 30+ funds.

Craig holds an MSci in Physics and Chemistry from Durham University and studied at Fettes College. Prior to his venture capital career, he worked as a Renewable Energy Consultant at Element Energy and as an Experimental Design Scientist at Durham University. Additionally, he worked as an Analyst Intern at Scottish Equity Partners and as an FX Intern at Bank of New Zealand.
