Jennifer MacFarlane (Norton) is an accomplished Creative Director with over 14 years of experience in the advertising industry. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, she has worked with some of the top agencies in the country and her work has been recognized with awards at Cannes, Clios, D&AD, Addys, London International, and The One Show. Her portfolio includes global brands such as Coca-Cola, Volkswagen, Pampers, Burger King, and Unilever among others. Jennifer has a "can-do" attitude and a hands-on approach to her work, which has allowed her to excel working with small independent shops, global agencies, and even in-house.
In 2011, she was ranked the Second Best Art Director in the country at the national advertising festival. Jennifer still believes in the power of big ideas, regardless of the platform, and she uses her experience to empower young female creatives. As of today, she works as a Creative Director at McKinney and is also a new mom—Mackinnon. She loves to include her new mom-knowledge in her work whenever possible.
Jennifer received an Associate's degree in Art Direction from Red and Yellow School of Advertising. Before joining McKinney, she held various positions including Deputy Creative Director at The Jupiter Drawing Room, Head Art Director of Food at Woolworths, and Senior Art Director at King James. She also worked as an Associate Creative Director at MullenLowe U.S., Middle Weight Art director at Ogilvy & Mather, and Junior Art Director at RIOT advertising.
