Kathryn DeBord, also known as Katie, is an accomplished attorney and legal innovation specialist who currently holds the position of Global Chief Innovation Officer at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, a top international law firm. As the co-architect of the firm's strategic service delivery functions, including its legal operations consultancy division, Cantilever, and its newest innovation, BCLP Cubed, Katie leads a team of lawyers, technologists, and professionals who are dedicated to innovation in legal service delivery.

Katie's expertise in legal innovation extends beyond her role as Chief Innovation Officer, as she also advises the firm's various initiatives to train its associates in legal innovation through the Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner Business Academy and the Institute for the Future of Law Practice (IFLP). Additionally, she sits on the advisory board of IFLP, further demonstrating her commitment to driving innovation in new legal education and training.

Prior to her current role at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Katie served as a partner in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group, where she specialized in complex contract litigation, patent and IP licensing matters, and consumer class action defense. She is also an experienced speaker, frequently presenting at various legal innovation forums and guest lecturing at the Northwestern University School of Law.

Katie holds a J.D. with High Honors from The George Washington University Law School, a B.A. with Phi Beta Kappa distinction from the University of Kansas, and has studied History at Baylor University. Outside of her legal career, she served as an Intelligence Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency and was a member of the Leadership Denver Class of 2014 through the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.
