Ray Batra is a versatile, results-driven individual with a background that spans across different sectors. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy, with minors in Business and Urban Studies from the University of Michigan. Ray is a founder at ShiftUp, where he works to create solutions that leverage technology to help people reach their potential.
Before co-founding ShiftUp, Ray was a Co-Founder at Future of Higher Ed and a Venture Associate & Analyst at the Entangled Group, a venture studio that focuses on education innovation. Ray also worked at EdSurge, a news and insights platform covering education technology, where he led growth and special projects in the higher education sector.
Ray has also interned at the U.S. Department of Education, the Mayor's Office in Detroit, and the Office of Digital Education and Innovation at the University of Michigan. Additionally, he served as a Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative - San Francisco Day School and an Advisor at Pro bono.
