Lawrie Givner is a seasoned educator and accomplished leader in the education industry. As a co-founder and former senior director of Talent Acquisition & Human Resources at Relay Graduate School of Education, Lawrie played a significant role in expanding the organization from 2 to 18 campuses and growing the team from 50 to more than 400 employees. Lawrie has worked extensively in the field of education and is passionate about closing the opportunity gap by empowering teachers. She holds a Master of Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University.

Throughout her career, Lawrie has worked in various capacities, including Middle School Math Teacher at Achievement First, 5th Grade Lead Teacher at Harlem Day Charter School, and Corps Member at Teach for America. She has also served as a College Marketing Associate at Manhattan GMAT. Lawrie currently serves as Managing Director of Talent at Relay Graduate School of Education, where she oversees talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and employment law compliance, as well as employee relations and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
