Shimon Eckhouse
Shimon Eckhouse is a prominent inventor, investor, and entrepreneur in the field of medical devices and technology. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, he has invented and co-founded over 20 companies in medical technology and other high-tech fields. Eckhouse invented IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, which is widely used for non-invasive medical aesthetic application. He has authored over 60 US registered patents, hundreds of international patents, and over 50 papers in leading refereed journals and conferences. As a member of the Board of Governors of the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology, Eckhouse continues to lend his expertise to the field of medical technology and entrepreneurship.
