Geeske Boersma is a recent Master's degree graduate in Global Health from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she gained significant research experience, including fieldwork in Cape Town slums. Boersma's diverse background in culture, anthropology, and development sociology led her to a current research project focusing on girls' perceptions of health and obesity in Amsterdam. Her area of interest includes global health, health education, cultural diversity, development work, youth, and education.
