Jay Bodenhausen is a highly passionate individual with a strong technical background and an expertise in developing mobile solutions to connect with users in meaningful ways. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Portland and a Specialized Studies Program Certificate in Website Design from UC Davis. Additionally, he has studied Computer Systems Engineering at Arizona State University. Over the years, Jay has gained valuable experience in various positions such as the Principal Solution Engineer at Contentful, Strategic Solution Engineer, and Solutions Engineer. Before joining Contentful, he worked at Urban Airship as the Lead Solutions Engineer for EMEA, Solutions Engineer. Prior to that, Jay held diverse roles like Sales/General Assistance at Artisan Clubs, Volunteer at Looptworks, and Software Engineer at Garmin International. He has also served as a Peer Leader in the Physics Dept. at the University of Portland and an Engineering Aid (GIS) at the USDA Forest Service. Jay has a keen interest in exploring and conquering challenges, helping others succeed, and guiding them to experience thrill. He believes that mobile engagement is built on relevance, intimacy, preference, immediacy, context, and experience, and it is much more than just an advertising channel.
