Alicia Evangelista is a scientist with a passion for Open Innovation and connecting people. She has a PhD from Boston University School of Medicine and studied at the University of Virginia. After her studies, she worked for the National Institutes of Health as a postdoctoral fellow and technology transfer associate. She then joined yet2, where she held several roles, including project leader, innovation services manager, and senior innovation services manager. Currently, Alicia is the Head of Innovation+ at swissnex Boston, where she helps scientists, engineers, and companies access the best research, technologies, and collaborations necessary for promoting innovation.

In her role at swissnex Boston, Alicia is particularly interested in Swiss innovation and technology scouting. She specializes in patent and invention assessment, pitch reviews, project management, and technical communications, to name a few, and has experience in biological sciences and chemistry. Alicia is always ready to help anybody who wants to learn more about Open Innovation and the Swiss innovation ecosystem.
