John Szabo
John Szabo is an accomplished library executive with extensive experience in leading and managing public library systems. With a master's degree in library and information studies from the University of Michigan, a bachelor's degree in film from The University of Alabama, and additional studies in government at Harvard University, his educational background is impressive. He began his career as the director of the Robinson Public Library District and has since served as director of the Palm Harbor Library, Clearwater Public Library System, and Fulton County Library System. Currently, he is the City Librarian and CEO of the Los Angeles Public Library.
Throughout his career, John Szabo has demonstrated a deep commitment to providing quality library services to communities. Under his leadership, the Los Angeles Public Library has continued to expand access to information, resources, and technology. He is known for his innovative approach to library services and his ability to leverage new technologies to improve outreach and engagement. He is a prominent figure in the library profession and has served on numerous local and national committees and boards.
