Mark Lehmkuhle
Mark Lehmkuhle is an accomplished bioengineer with a focus on neural engineering. He holds a Doctorate in bioengineering and has established a distinguished career as an academic, entrepreneur, and team builder. With a passion for ultramarathoning and a love for the West, Mark is also an experienced whitewater boat builder and oarsman, having navigated his own handmade dory down the Colorado through Grand Canyon. Currently, Mark is devoting his time to improving the quality of life of people living with epilepsy as he works tirelessly to bring healthcare solutions home.
Mark's academic background includes a Postdoctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Utah. He also earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. During his academic career, Mark served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Utah.
Besides his academic pursuits, Mark is an entrepreneur who has founded and served as the CEO/CTO of Epitel, Inc, a company that provides healthcare solutions to people suffering from epilepsy. Mark is also affiliated with MedTech Innovator, an accelerator company that invests in startups in the medical technology industry.
