Julie Sorensen
Julie Sorensen is an experienced and accomplished professional in the field of public health and safety. She received her Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Cornell University. Her work has focused on developing and implementing strategies to promote health and safety in rural communities, particularly among agricultural workers. She has served in numerous leadership positions, including Director of the Northeast Center for Occupational Health and Safety, Director of Graduate Studies at the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University, and Director of the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health. She has also authored numerous publications on topics related to occupational health and safety, injury prevention, and community-based interventions.
