Pytrik Schafraad is a renowned lecturer, researcher, and editor who has spent years teaching and researching in the field of news, journalism, PR, and social science methodology. With a Master's degree in Sociology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Schafraad has been a lecturer at several prestigious universities in the Netherlands, including Radboud University Nijmegen and Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition to his teaching experience, Schafraad has also been an editor at Links-liberale denktank Waterland and RE/fuse, where he gained practical experience in news and journalism.

As a PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen, Schafraad's focus was on social movements and subcultures, which became one of his specialties. He has extensive knowledge in content analysis, framing, and qualitative and quantitative research methods. Throughout his career, Schafraad has contributed to the field of news and journalism by publishing articles in numerous academic journals, and co-authoring books in the field.
