Allan Mustard is an experienced agriculture and international trade professional with an impressive background in leadership and management training. He holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and has studied in Leningrad State University, where he learned the Russian Language. He has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Washington, where his studies included Slavic Languages and Literature as well. He has also completed the 45th Senior Seminar on Leadership and Management at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center.
Allan's professional experience is varied, having formerly held positions such as Agricultural Counselor, Director of the U.S. Agricultural Trade office in Istanbul, Minister-Counselor for Agricultural Affairs, Assistant Deputy Administrator, International Services, Foreign Agricultural Affairs, and more. His long list of professional accomplishments includes being the ambassador at the U.S. Embassy and Chairperson of the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
