Rob Weeden is a highly experienced executive and non-executive director with over 25 years in the tourism and hospitality industry. With a strong background in hotel operations, marketing, development, and strategic functions, he has worked both in Australia and internationally, acquiring unique expertise across hotel and resort operations, sales and marketing at both a property and corporate level. Weeden has previously held leading roles for world-renowned hotel chains such as Shangri-La, where he served as Vice President Sales and Marketing, General Manager, Resident Manager, and Director of Sales and Marketing, among other positions. Currently, he is the General Manager of Perth’s largest hotel, Pan Pacific, leading a dynamic team that creates unforgettable experiences for stakeholders, including guests, owners, and colleagues. Weeden is also an accomplished board member with experience in leading Western Australia business events and vocational training organizations. He has been a Director of Business Events Perth, Hospitality Group Training, and Tourism Tropical North Queensland Board of Directors in the past. He is considered a loyal, constructive, and outgoing leader, who communicates ideas easily and motivates teams to achieve their goals. Weeden is both optimistic and realistic in his approach to business, has a high level of personal integrity, and enjoys creating opportunities for personal and business growth. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism Marketing and a Master of Business Administration in General Management from Charles Sturt University.
