James Gannaban is a digital MarComms pioneer with 13 years of experience in integrated marketing strategy for FMCG in Asia. He is currently the Director of Marketing & Communications at Pirata Group, a company that creates award-winning restaurants with the mission to deliver extraordinary, memorable experiences. James is a dynamic, collaborative leader and an agile team player who drives his high-performing team to create head-turning campaigns that deliver immediate impact to the bottom line. He is proud of Pirata Group's ahead-of-the-curve digital and social marketing, media engagement at scale, and magazine-worthy art direction. James also works closely with restaurant GMs in understanding challenges and crafting marketing solutions.
Outside work, James is an avid foodie, traveler, and yogi. He studied Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Theatre, 4.0 at Ateneo de Manila University. Before joining Pirata Group, he worked for The ENTERTAINER as Senior Marketing Manager - Asia and Marketing Manager - Hong Kong, South China Morning Post SCMP as Marketing & PR Manager - HK Magazine Media, and GR8 Leisure Concept Limited as F&B Marketing & PR Manager.
