- Maintained a strong organization brand and presence by engaging different audiences online through daily social media activity; efforts resulted in an increase in followership over set target– nearly 1,000 new Twitter followers over the course of 3 months

-  Wrote copy for blog posts, tweets and facebook interactions; ran contests to increase engagement

-  Liaised with teachers across Canada to support and engage the key demographic for the Student Vote program and administered a pre- and post- teacher, parent and student survey to nationwide participants

-  Solely coordinated targeted nationwide media attention for Student Vote’s federal election campaign, and subsequently prepared a post-mortem media report for Elections Canada

-  Created and maintained databases of media contacts, which were utilized during press releases and campaign launches, including Student Vote’s launch for the 40th federal election. This event attracted over 50 members of Toronto media, and garnered tremendous coverage and publicity for our organization and campaign

For example, through noting the lack of prayer spaces for several religious groups on campus, successfully advocated to the Dean of Student Affairs for more space; resulting in several permanent spaces open for student use.

-  Assisted students with academic counseling, appeals, program and course selections for the University of Toronto at Mississauga, providing my fellow peers with a feeling of support and security

-  Organized and extensively publicized several campus-wide events and volunteer missions, including 'Xpression Against Oppression' and 'Unity Through Diversity' allowing for more awareness on campus

-  Along with the help of the entire executive, obtained a contract with The City of Mississauga's Transit system to offer students free bussing throughout the city of Mississauga
