Zachary Zappala
Zachary Zappala is an accomplished research scientist with a strong background in genetics, biology, and computer science. He earned his Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford University School of Medicine, where he conducted groundbreaking research into the genetic underpinnings of human disease. Prior to this, he graduated from The College of New Jersey with a combination degree in biology, computer science, and a minor in Japanese.
Zappala has worked with several prestigious organizations throughout his career, including Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Massachusetts General Hospital. At Vertex Pharma, he currently serves as a Research Scientist II and has previously held the position of Research Scientist. He has also served as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, he has worked as a development intern at Sharp Electronics, a programmer and developer for various organizations, and as an undergraduate research student at The College of New Jersey.
Zappala is a highly accomplished researcher and developer with a broad skill set that reflects his multidisciplinary background. He has extensive experience in genetics, genomics, computational biology, and molecular biology, as well as experience in software development, data analysis, and machine learning. His work has been published in numerous scientific journals, and he has presented at numerous scientific conferences and symposiums.
