With my Land O’Lakes team, we built out all the necessary plans, deliverables, and documentation for Testing, Communications, Change, Training, and the overall project management. This led to a wildly successful transition for this 10,000-employee organization.

eTime Upgrade Change Enablement Manager and SME

For this wholesale food manufacturer we performed an Implementation Audit of their existing HRPR and Timekeeping solutions to determine the gaps between where they actually were and where they wanted to be with their implementation. From this evaluation we worked on several projects to help them close the aforementioned gaps and improve their overall use of the Kronos systems thoughout the organization.

Improvizations partnered with UC Berkeley to assist in the CalTime Kronos implementation providing services to reframe the project including Project and Risk Management, development of the project and organizational Process and Procedures, Roles and Responsibilities, Solution Design and build of the Kronos Timekeeper application for the Non Exempt population. In addition, we are providing support for the existing production Kronos applications in place for the Exempt population. Personally, I worked with the Project Management team and the Sponsors to set the direction and drive the project to a sustainable momentum. Once achieved I left to let the team fly!

Sr Project Guide - Kronos Implementation

For these projects I played many roles over the years. In the beginning we performed an Implementation Assesment and created a project plan to deliver solutions on the findings. A strong reporting model was developed and dashboards created for them to monitor all the retail stores data in one place. After this was in place we partnered with New Seasons IT to deliver and upgrade to their Kronos software, adding new data feeds to provide more reporting data from their SQL Server, followed up with a couple of years of miscellaneous support (provided by various people at Improvizations, not just me!)

This assessment engagement examined basic issues regarding the ongoing implementation, recommendations for implementation best practices. The primary deliverable outlined a strict path to a successful implementation of the products across all locations within the required time and budget.

After the Implementation Audit proved a rousing success with FD management we were engaged to upgrade the entire Kronos Workforce Central Suite to v5.2 and migrate the system to a new VMWare domain. The Improvizations team took on many small enhancement projects as part of this typical upgrade project including streamlining security, reporting and interfaces to outsourced systems. Ongoing projects are expected to save the company in excess of $2M over the next two years.

This on site assessment engagement examined basic issues regarding implementation and use of the Kronos suite of applications, a review of its current state of use and health, recommendations for best practices and future projects. The assessment resulted in two main deliverables:o	Best Practices Recommendations consists of an Action Plan with specific and measurable recommendations for FreshDirect to immediately optimize their Kronos usage. o	Future Project Recommendations summarizes suggested new projects to help align the usage of Kronos with the FreshDirect business objectives.

In our first year we saved the organization about $10M by finding, and then correcting, the clock configuration to match the actual policies of the company. This win is the perfect example of how important it is to audit any existing implementation of WFM software to find gaps between reality, perception, and policy.

The first six months of this government engagement developed the Concept of Operations and Standards & Procedures for the entire Applications Management Support Services (AMSS) group for Unisys_____ILLEGAL_CHAR_SSSTART146ILLEGAL_CHAR_EEEND_____s relationship with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA.) In addition we rolled out several Java, Documentum and Oracle Teleservice 11x based products to the TSA, driving everything from infrastructure to testing though development of the support organization (AMSS.) The second half of the year involved standard project management for the Kronos rollout to the airports, solving complex issues for the team such as how to manage the relationships between various government and corporate entities and the AMSS. In addition, various group management and leadership skills were applied as team lead for the 2nd level support group for the custom and COTS applications.

Using tools developed for previous clients I was able to rapidly convert all the HR and Payroll data stored in Ceridian's Ensemble HRMS and populate Peoplesoft accurately and efficiently. The history was not lost, which is way too common in this industry during system changes. This project was entirely remote.
