Duncan O'Boyle

Duncan O'Boyle is a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on microfluidics, manufacturing, and precision machine design. His expertise spans thermoplastic material selection, advanced fabrication methods, heat transfer, component design, and automation.

His previous research has involved developing integrated organ-on-a-chip platforms incorporating micropumps and fluid control elements for studying metabolic processes and cellular responses in physiologically relevant environments.

Beyond engineering, Duncan has a passion for running, rock climbing, music, and film photography. He also runs a photography business known as DOB Photography, catering to clients in the Boston area.

Duncan pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed his Honors Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University. He has a diverse professional background with roles at organizations like Parallel Fluidics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Blount International, and Oregon State University.
