David Carmel
David Carmel is a highly accomplished biotechnology executive and leader in External Affairs. He boasts an impressive record of successfully building biotechnology companies and has raised over $4 billion for cutting-edge research in both the private and public sectors. Carmel graduated from both Harvard College and Stanford Business School, and has held various executive positions throughout his career, including Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at eGenesis Inc., Vice President of Atara Biotherapeutics, and Vice President of Business Development at StemCyte, Inc.
Carmel’s experience also includes a White House Fellowship at the United States Department of Treasury, and he served as the Finance Director for Proposition 71: California Stem Cell and Cures Initiative. A former board member of New York State Life Science Advisory Board, Carmel is also the founder of Jumpstart and has a Certificate in Healthcare from the prestigious Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
