Dennis Dayman is an experienced privacy and security professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has a strong background in combating spam, security/privacy issues, data governance issues, and improving email delivery through industry policy, ISP relations, and technical solutions. Dayman is currently the Chief Privacy Officer at Maropost, where he leverages his experience and key relationships to provide best practices to the company's customers and ensures the compliance of their communications data flows.
Before joining Maropost, Dayman held several high-profile positions in the industry, including Chief Privacy and Security Officer at Return Path and Eloqua. He was appointed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Nielsen to the Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee (DPIAC), where he provided input on programmatic, policy, operational, administrative, and technical issues that relate to personally identifiable information, data integrity, and other privacy-related matters. Dayman is also a U.S. Delegate for the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI), supporting work on ISO/PC 317: Consumer protection: privacy by design for consumer goods and services.
In addition to his professional experience, Dayman is a longstanding member of several boards and advisory committees within the advertising and messaging industry. He also sits on several advisory boards for internet companies and is a partner, mentor, and frequent investor in startups. Dayman has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and is known for providing top-notch industry advice while ensuring compliance with privacy and data regulations.
