Digital business developer in NAV

Working with business aspects of the most recent modernization projects in the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration, including value creation, uncertainty management and controller functions. The two projects I've worked on have modernized decades old IT - systems, through investments of approximately one billion NOK each, across four to five years of development. Part of my responsibility has been to keep track of our finances and capacity, uncertainty analysis and reporting.

Recently, I've moved on to plan our next IT project, aiming to modernize two important domains in our organization. With a project team of ten people, we delivered a comprehensive analysis that highlighted the problem and opportunity space, various concept alternatives and the macroeconomic consequences of chosen concepts.

Was responsible for developing and managing the facilitation approach for startups and participants in the YSI 2019 Global Innovation Program. Mentored 6 out of 8 teams along the 5 month period. Simultaneously collecting data on the various approaches used by different mentors. The data was used in the process of writing a master thesis to research how one could improve mentors' ability to assist in the personal development and team development of their mentees.

Worked on research and development to improve the YSI Global Innovation Programs of 2018 and 2019. Led the setup of a module that focused specifically on team-building, self-awareness and individual development. Was also a vital part of developing other modules that were focused on value creation and value capture through various innovation methods like Lean Startup, Agile, Design Thinking and Jobs-to-be-done.

Attended Emax, a combined course and meeting place for youth with a genuine interest in entrepreneurship. Four days are spent challenging the participants on their skills and knowledge of entrepreneurship and business management/development through workshops, lectures, social activities and networking.

Was responsible for the majority of the program's gatherings in Oslo, as well as contributing generally to organizational and administrative work in the team and being a pioneer (team leader) in two gatherings. This work was voluntary. 

After Future Leaders merged with Thunderwave, a Norwegian innovation and facilitation startup, I went on to work with the organizational team internationally to facilitate the good utilization of resources in the organization, and acquire and process knowledge through feedback.

Attended Future Leaders, the largest leadership and self-development program for Scandinavian youth. The program is largely based on self-awareness and development, you as a person in relation to others and your impact/footprint on the world. The purpose is to help youth to become leaders with conscience, ability and competence, who can make a difference on whichever level of society they choose to use their newly gained knowledge.

Spent my time with Zendera to help with various tasks, with the main task being the creation of an analysis based on Clayton Christensen's jobs-to-be-done theory, and Tony Ulwick's more practical method of Outcome Driven Innovation. The time in Zendera showed me a lot of aspects that go into starting a business.

Involved for two years on the ES board. During my time, I gave everything I had to continuously increase the standard and professionalism of the seminar. This resulted in an educational period together with more than 100 volunteers - and two skilled and very different boards.

My first position was as the Head of Marketing. I lead a group responsible for the seminar's profile and marketing. In this position, I used the opportunity to come up with cross-departmental ideas. The group worked well and we doubled the number of volunteers for the seminar to 50 people, and the number students visiting from other universities up to 80. I also lead the conference from the stage, to good feedback from the participants.

The next year I went on as the project leader. Over the two years we entertained well-known speakers, some of who were Rasmus Hansson, Jørgen Randers, Nancy Strand and Alf Bjørseth, who have all been vital in building the movement towards sustainability in Norway and internationally. We also increased the total number of participants from 230 to 300. The seminar was improved in its graphical profile and we started doing videos that got in total more than 40k views as well as professional program magazines and other effects to better our user experience. After my time with the board, I concluded my contributions by making a comprehensive document to gather all experience from every seminar in one place. The purpose was to ease the transfer of experience to new boards, as there is a large annual flux of personnel in any volunteer organization.

I look back at my time in the seminar with pride. The most important lessons I got is the importance of adapting communication and tasks to the individual, the balance of how a leader should be involved and the importance of good but not too rigid planning.

Worked for Meny in two separate periods - the first being in addition to high school and the second from March to July of 2014. 

Meny values professionalism and the importance of a good working environment, both lessons I bring with me into any work I do today.
