David M. Johnson, CFA is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate development and distressed companies. He specializes in maximizing recovery for lenders, creditors, and investors by using legal and financial tools including Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and the US bankruptcy code. Mr. Johnson has advised investors, lenders, and management of over 150 companies during his tenure at Sherwood. He also developed internal processes to aid company growth and mentored staff. Before joining Sherwood in 2007, he managed distressed commercial real estate at a publicly-traded REIT valued at $13 billion. Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004. He is also a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor.
