Amit Sridharan is a seasoned venture capitalist with over 17 years of experience in early-stage investments across various industries, including enterprise security, smart manufacturing, robotics, IoT, and clean-tech. He is a Founding General Partner at First Rays Venture Partners, a company that specializes in seed-stage investments in enterprise B2B software themes around AI, cloud, edge, data, distributed & security.

Amit has a Management degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as the Robert Joss Scholar, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He also completed his Bachelor of Engineering (BTech) with Honours from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Before joining First Rays Venture Partners, Amit was the Director of US Investments & Partnerships at Mahindra Partners Ventures, the Corporate Venture Capital of Mahindra Group. He also had stints at Pear VC and Spruce Capital Partners, where he led several successful investments in Avaamo, Cloudleaf, Scoot, Paid Labs, Pear Technology, among others.

Amit works closely with entrepreneurs and teams in portfolio companies to drive growth, and he is passionate about venture investing in early-stage companies. He focuses on three main aspects: People, Opportunity, and Context. He believes in backing the founder’s vision in building businesses from fundamentals, innovators operating and being successful in the changing world and that the impact of disruptive innovation will be through a blend of digital and physical.
