Mandy Macatiag

Mandy Macatiag, an accomplished Electrical Project Engineer at California Water Service Company, has over 11 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction in the power plants, mining and metals, oil and gas, life science, power and industrial, substation and transportation and above and underground water system industries. With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technological Institutes of the Philippines, Mandy has a detailed knowledge of the NEC, electrical construction, motor control centers, switchboards, switchgears, and other electrical equipment. She is responsible for electrical and controls engineering related to the planning, design, project and construction management of water facilities.

Mandy is proficient in performing advanced engineering calculations for low and medium voltage power distribution and MCC, including short circuit calculation, voltage drop, breaker coordination studies, arc flash studies, and equipment evaluation. She prepares construction drawings and writes specifications for electrical design for water system facilities and manages project scope, schedule, and budget. Her experience includes specifying, developing bid packages, and procuring major equipment for projects, as well as preparing requests for proposals and analyzing, selecting successful consultants or vendors. She manages and communicates with project-specific contractors, consultants, agencies, and staff.

Mandy has also provided construction management and shared field inspection at the location of the project construction. Her expertise extends to providing technical support for system operations and maintenance. She has worked for prominent engineering and construction companies, such as AECOM, Fluor Corporation, Willbros Engineers, Inc., TJCross Engineers, Lycopodium Ltd, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries throughout her career.
