Wojtek Szymczak is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with an extensive background in economic research and project management. Wojtek has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from London Business School, where he was an exchange student at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He has also studied M.Phil. in Economics at the University of Oxford.
Wojtek is a co-founder and COO of Oculo, a healthcare technology company that leverages AI to identify anomalies in medical images to improve detection rates of diseases like cancer. Prior to Oculo, he worked as a Product Manager at Kheiron Medical, a startup focused on developing products that streamline the screening and diagnosis process for breast cancer.
In addition to his work in the healthcare sector, Wojtek has experience working with social impact funds, including the Bridges Fund Management Ltd's Social Impact Bond Fund, where he served as Project Manager. He has also lent his skills as a Project Manager to charities like Cancer Research UK and TechnoServe, while concurrently serving as the Co-Founder of Umbokodo maternity loans.
Wojtek's expertise in project management and research has been honed by his prior experience as a Senior Associate Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, as well as his time as a Research Fellow / Policy Advocate for the World Youth Alliance.
