Steve Goldberg is a seasoned business and technology executive with expertise in wireless communications, 5G, IoT, physical and cyber security, signal processing, embedded systems, automotive, robotics, location services, and telematics. With over 10 years of experience at Venrock, a first-tier venture capital firm, as an Operating Partner, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Steve has worked in various leadership roles in companies including Trimble Navigation, Cylink, Nokia Internet Communications, and Vidient Systems. He's co-founded DataRunway, Inc., a broadband wireless communications company, been Entrepreneur-in-residence at Venrock Associates, and served on the board of directors for numerous companies such as Lavante, TurnHere, and Kineto Wireless. Steve is also a former president of the IEEE Communications Society, Santa Clara Section, and an Executive Professor at Santa Clara University. He's currently President at Air Access and a former Board Director at SolidPower and Savari Inc. among others. Steve is available for early-stage company advising and serves as an independent board member. He also provides expert witness support for IP/Patent litigation.
