Advanced manufacturing methods are enabling new forms of augmented materials with unique combinations of properties.

This gives rise to a high dimensional design space that can be most time/cost effectively explored through virtual protoyping. 

My primary focus was to develop model-based engineering approach to advance design tools of weft-knit fabric devices [flexible, yarn-based, composite materials] serving as enabling platforms for high value sensing, communication, & actuation end use applications


Wrote & executed mechanical testing protocols to characterize architectured materials systems including smart fabrics, to analyze failure modes and inform simulation
