He has held senior positions in several organizations including Signavio, Vera Security, Ionic Security, Citrix, Symantec, Vontu Inc, Searchspace, Getty Images, and Techies Ltd. Derek has studied A-Levels in English literature, economics and French at Luton Sixth Form College and a BSc HONS in Computing & Accounting at De Montfort University.
