Chris Austin is an internationally recognized physician executive with a strong record of developing innovative healthcare technology solutions. With over 20 years of combined clinical and industry experience, Dr. Austin is a UK-trained radiologist, epidemiologist, strategist, and innovator. He is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Kheiron Medical, a global imaging AI company specializing in deep learning applications aimed at improving breast cancer screening outcomes. Dr. Austin is a thought leader in the role of AI and radiology, having worked with leading academic organizations to develop and productize deep learning algorithms. He previously worked for GE Healthcare as the Medical Director of Imaging AI and Digital and as the Global Radiology Solutions Director. Dr. Austin also served as a Specialist Registrar - Diagnostic Radiology at UCLH NHS Trust and was a House Officer for Internal Medicine at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Dr. Austin completed his MBChB (Hons) in Medicine at The University of Glasgow, Radiology Residency at UCL, 10x10 Biomedical Informatics Clinical Informatics at Oregon Health and Science University, and MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
