Christine Mehta
Christine Mehta is an accomplished investigator and writer with a focus on protecting human rights. With a B.A. in International Relations and Journalism from Syracuse University and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Cornell University, Mehta has spent her career researching and reporting on issues related to refugees, racial profiling, illegal detention, and torture. She has worked as an Expert Consultant on Human Rights at Equidem Research and Consulting, a Regional Economic Development Specialist at Cornell University, a Research Assistant Professor at Syracuse University, and a Researcher and Campaigner at Amnesty International and Physicians for Human Rights. Mehta has also fellowship experience with the Carnegie and Knight Foundations, and has worked as a Caseworker for Resettlement at the Center for New Americans and as a Multimedia Journalist for The Santiago Times. Adding to her diverse skillset, Mehta is an Independent Research Fellow at Syracuse University.
