Nigel Noyes

Nigel Noyes is a seasoned senior executive whose expertise bridges Data Engineering, Data Science, and Business. With an MBA from Wharton Business School, an MS in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University, Noyes brings an impressive academic background to the table.

Noyes' diverse business experience is equally impressive. He has managed simultaneous projects across countries, languages, and cross-sectional disciplines and is skilled at presenting complex quantitative projects to and negotiating with senior internal and external company executives and government officials. Noyes successfully built the first LATAM office of a leading Capital Markets Brokerage firm and has experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, presenting financial modeling analyses to the C-Suite and Board of a multi-billion dollar company, and negotiating deals with C-Suite executives and senior government officials.

In addition to his business expertise, Noyes is a skilled statistician who has designed and developed novel statistical analysis and models from first principles for a variety of fields, including petabytes of transaction credit card data, high-frequency trading algorithms, robotics and neuroscience research, satellites and missile defense, and Astrophysics research. He is also well-versed in machine learning and big data approaches, including off-the-shelf methods such as Principle Components Analysis, Support Vector Machines, Deep Neural Networks, Bayesian statistics, Reinforcement Learning, and MapReduce algorithms. His technology experience includes Hadoop (Spark, Hive, Impala, Streaming, Luigi, Airflow, Oozie, Python, Java), SQL, C++, R, and Matlab.

Noyes has held several prominent industry positions throughout his career, including serving as Lead Principal Data Scientist, Principal Data Scientist, and Director of Automation, Data Science at Quicken Loans. He also served as SVP/Head of Data Analytics & Engineering at Invesco Ltd., Head of Data Science and Engineering at Broker Genius, and Vice President/Data Scientist at MasterCard Advisors. Before entering the corporate world, Noyes worked as a financial analyst at Braskem and as a Manager for Brazil, Product Manager for Brazil, and Quantitative Software Engineer, Risk Management at Interactive Brokers. He also worked as a software engineer at Lockheed Martin and as an Astrophysics Research Assistant at Columbia University.
